Our history
Okana was created in 2024 to build on the success of BIM Academy and Ryder Alliance.
Ryder Alliance formed in 2010 as a visionary collaboration between Ryder, based in the UK, and i2C in Australia. This partnership was grounded in a shared entrepreneurial spirit and a commitment to fostering exchange of best practices and market intelligence across borders. BIM Academy, a joint venture between Northumbria University and Ryder, was conceived out of a critical need for monumental change within the construction industry. Quickly distinguishing itself as a global leader in digital consultancy for the built environment and spanning projects in over 20 countries.
