The CIOB’s award of Fellowship status demonstrates an incredibly high level of achievement, with CIOB Fellows being amongst the most experienced and knowledgeable professionals in the construction industry.
Having been a member of the CIOB for 10 years, Paul was encouraged to apply for its Fellowship in early 2024. To succeed in becoming a CIOB Fellow signifies the highest level of professional recognition in construction management, and is only awarded to those with extensive experience, leadership and noteworthy contributions to industry.
Paul is experienced in managing the digital delivery of large scale construction and infrastructure projects across the globe. As the head of data and digital services for Okana, Paul has specialisms in information management, digital twin development and delivery, and digital transformation. As well as a proven ability to build and lead high performing teams across major projects, he is also experienced in developing digital business strategies.
Change and progress associated with digital ways of working have formed the basis of Paul’s career which has seen him live and work in many different countries, particularly in the Far East.
Now at Okana, in a time when technology has never been more widely used in construction and infrastructure, Paul works with clients to uncover ways to maximise the positive impact of technology adoption, and how to apply its benefits to receive viable and visible returns, helping businesses to grow and thrive in today’s digital age.
When asked what it mean to be awarded CIOB Fellowship, Paul commented: “The Fellowship standards are incredibly high, and it is humbling to have been awarded such an honour, one which I have admired in others for some time in recognition of their achievements to industry. It is a privilege to be part of a community raising the bar for building excellence.”
A graduation ceremony took place in May in London to celebrate the tremendous achievement of gaining an internationally recognised accreditation from the CIOB, at which Paul will formally received his Fellowship award.
